Wear pink and walk at the annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer!
May is a time for beautiful weather, spring flowers, and the annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. On the 18th and 19th, those affected by breast cancer in one way or another, unite to raise money and awareness for this life-threatening diagnosis. The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a two-day walk dedicated to woman fighting breast cancer or women who have lost their battle with breast cancer. Opening ceremonies will take place at UMass Boston at 6:30am on May 18. From here, walkers will begin the journey from UMass Boston to the Reebok World Headquarters, located in Canton. On May 19, the walk resumes at the Reebok World Headquarters as walkers make their way back to the UMass Boston campus. The two-day walk offers beautiful sights of Boston as well as multiple rest stops and even dining and entertainment for walkers at the Reebok headquarters. Closing ceremonies will take place at UMass Boston at 3:00pm
Walker's should arrive at the UMass Boston campus, 100 Morrissey Boulevard, between 5:30am and 6:00am. Complimentary shuttles to UMass Boston will run from the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel, between 4:00 am– 6:00 am on Saturday morning.
