Experience Life in Ancient Times when you see the Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit at the Museum of Science!

Coming to the Museum of Science this May is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Opening May 19, the Museum of Science will welcome its newest exhibit, Dead Sea Scrolls: Lost in Ancient Times. In 1947, a lost Sheppard wandered his way into a hidden cave along the banks of the Dead Sea. It was here, that the Sheppard found ancient scrolls, the greatest archaeological find of the last century. These ancient scrolls include literary writings of the times as well as the oldest known texts of the Bible. The Museum of Science will display pieces of these scrolls along with other historical artifacts such as Israeli antiques, stones from Jerusalem's Western Wall, and limestone capitols from the first temple period. Together, these artifacts reveal precious information about the culture and religion of the Iron Age people.

The Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit debuts on May 19, 2013 at the Museum of Science, 1 Science Park, in Boston. Tickets for this exhibit go on sale to the general public on March 19 with a purchase of a museum ticket. Admission fees are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors and $19 for children ages 3-11.

** The Museum's mission is to play a leading role in transforming the nation's relationship with science and technology.
