"I'm from Boston. Do you have anything to say to the people of Boston?"

Hayden Panettiere, Claire Bennet
"I'm an East Coast girl."

This is an East Coast girl named Hayden Panettiere, 17, whose "Heroes" character can run through fire and dive off bridges.

The show's very catchy catch phrase says, "Save the cheerleader. Save the world."

"We need to save you to save the world, what does that feel like?

Hayden Panettiere, Claire Bennet
"It's awesome. It's really fun. It's really fun."

Even more fun for NBC as "Heroes" continues to soar, drawing 13 million viewers a week.

The success of the show comes with a price tag. There's a large cast. And they shoot on location like today, averaging eight days of shooting per show.

The cost is $3 million for each superhuman show.

"Any messages for the people of New England?"

Masi Oka, Hhiro Nakamura
"New England, we love you. Thanks for supporting the show."

Masi Oka's character can bend time and space.

While hanging on location at a high school in Santa Clarita, California, I learned Oka and his sidekick on the show, actor James Lee, both attended college in New England.

James Lee, Ando Masahashi
"I lived in an apartment at Fenway, and on the roof we would barbecue, and we could see the scoreboard of the baseball stadium."

Scoring big with geeky comic book fanatics was a must for the show to thrive. But it is everyday characters have made it a mainstream hit.

It makes perfect sense to viewers as the audience continues to grow. Here's a little insight for you. Tonight, you saw Isaac, the artist who can paint the future. Let's freeze the video! Right there, he painted the cheerleader in an amphitheater. In the "Save the cheerleader, Save the world" prophecy, that amphitheater takes center stage.
