The Dish: Portuguese Fire Pit
Portuguese Steak Sandwich
1/4 c white wine
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 garlic
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 red hot pepper
Strips of thinly sliced top round and beaten with a hammer
Begin with putting oil in frying and letting it warm. Once oil is warm/hot add steak, sprinkle garlic powder, add hot peppers and garlic. Let cook for about 6-8 minutes depending on thickness of steak. Once steak is cooked add wine and let simmer for a few minutes. Add steak, garlic and peppers to a fresh roll.
Portuguese BBQ Chicken
1 whole chicken
1 TB paprika
2 TB garlic
1/2 c white wine
1/2 c lemon juice
Cut chicken trough the breast and open up. Cut under wings for better marinating and cooking. Put all ingredients on chicken and marinate overnight. Take chicken out cook on hot charcoal fire. Add thick sea-salt while cooking. Cook for about half hour or until full cooked.
