The Dish: Chinese New Year
Recipe:
Start with your hot pot and build the broth:
You may use a regular chicken stock, or Mongolian broth
Ingredients for Mongolian broth
-- chili pepper
-- cilantro
-- ginger
-- garlic
-- scalion
-- bay leaf
-- black pepper
-- herb, .. bring to boil in a pot
-- then add whatever you like
Prime rib/beef
lamb
seafood ( Cod, shrimp, squid, calamari)
vegetables (mushroom, carrots, broccoli, watercress)
-- Cook until desired tenderness
-- serve with condiments of your choice (soy sauce, mustard or ginger)
