The Dish: Valentine's White Chocolate Mousse
WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE SURRENDER
-- 1 TB gelatin
-- 2 TB Cointreau
-- 4 egg yolks
-- 1/2 c sugar
-- 1 c scalded milk
-- pinch of vanilla or nutmeg if you wish
-- 4 oz shaved white chocolate *
-- 1 pkg fresh strawberries
Soften 1 tbls of gelatin in 2 tbls. of Cointreau
Beat 4 yolks and half cup of sugar and add to 1 cup of scalded milk, cook till thick and smooth, add vanilla and nutmeg to taste, fold in gelatin and 4 ounces of shaved white chocolate let cool and fold in 1 cup of whipped heavy cream...pipe into fluted glasses alternating with fresh strawberries that were washed with Cointreau
