Gretta's Got It reports

Do you have a summer staple you can't seem to part with? No problem, our style reporter Gretta Monahan shows you how to work in some of those looks into your fall wardrobe in “Gretta's Got It.”

If you're looking to make a smooth transition into fall, I'll show you how to make some of your favorite summer looks last.

Tunic tops are a must have summer look, but are also a great crossover piece. Here, Amy is wearing the look a la summer style. The shirt is paired with denim walking shorts, a gold wedge a wide shimmery headband and she's holding a brown clutch.

So now let's make that some hot ticket item, and make it fashion forward for fall.

Using that same top, we added a cream cropped sweater, denim jeans, slid into brown suede pumps, and added hobo bag.

But don't be fooled into thinking open toes need to be stored after summer fun.

Sometimes fashion rules are outdated or are meant to be broken. In fact, many designers have models wearing open toes with tights.

For our summer look Julie is wearing open toed black sling back's, paired with a printed black and grey dress and a season must a black pouchette.

To step into fall, just slide back into those same shoes.

But this time we pulled on some opaque tights first. We also added this berry mini dress, and a black quilted bag.

And a black wrap is a great way to top off the look and keep you warm and stylish.

It's no secret that a great dress is timeless, and in many cases season less if you have the know how.

Kristina is wearing summer "frock" dress. The look comes with flip flops, sunglasses, and she's carrying a white summer tote.

To make the look last, layer your favorite white tee under the dress, pull on a pair of black jeans and slide into some flats. Complete the look with "the messenger bag."

The trick to any transition is creativity. So, go through your wardrobe and see what pieces can carry a change with style. I'm Gretta for "Gretta's Got It!"
