Gretta's Got It reports

Ladies, if you're looking to freshen up your face this spring- you're in luck because 7's style reporter Gretta Monahan says makeup for this season is all about bright, bold color and she'll show you how to wear it on "Gretta's Got It."

Gretta Monahan
"You may be all stocked up on your style in your closet, but one big mistake is forgetting to update the face. If you do that, you risk being a fashion faux pas. We're not going to let that happen. So I want to introduce you to my girl Jenna. She is the go-to girl for runway makeup. And she's going to show us the latest and greatest right here and how to get it. Alright Jenna, so show me. This is beautiful. I mean is this now for spring? I mean, what is the look?"

Jenna Owen, makeup artist
"The neon colors are the trend for the season. If you don't want to use it on the eye or the lip, can do it on high cheek bone with a pop of color, lip with a bright color, or even a bright color on the eye."

Gretta Monahan
"So how do you get a little bit of this version and bring it into your reality every day?"

Jenna Owen, makeup artist
"You can take the green and just use it as a liner, but it still is giving you a pop of that neon to enhance your look and the blush is always good on the apples of the cheeks. You can do just a pop of color and it's perfect."

Gretta Monahan
"So tell me, what neon is right for what coloring?"

Jenna Owen, makeup artist
"For blondes the greens work great. And for someone like you, purples and blues."

Gretta Monahan
"See I told you so! She's wearing the purple and lilac family, and you can see this is perfectly work appropriate, fine for day. But now, Jenna's going to kick it up and use that brighter purple, to show you how not to be afraid and evolve your look."

Gretta Monahan
"Wow okay. That definitely upped the volume. So, what did you do?"

Jenna Owen, makeup artist
"I just highlighted the crease and I just made it a little bit darker, using the same colors, just applying a little more of it just along the crease."

Gretta Monahan
"So this is the contour look, and we saw a lot of this on runway. And basically you want to create a triangular shape right under the cheekbone, and that's going to give you a very structured face. It used to be all about coloring the cheeks last season. Not this season, keep it all over here in a triangle."

Gretta Monahan
You know what, colored shadows can be scary. So if you're nervous, don't worry. Pick up a little pencil in color, even a few. They're inexpensive and easy to use. Look, I know these colors are shocking, but if you're still afraid, don't worry about it. Go right into any local makeup counter, because they will help you. And try before you buy. I'm Gretta for Gretta's Got It.
