Gretta's Got It! Season dresses
If you want to step out in style this season, forget that little black dress, and try some color! Tonight, Gretta Monahan heads to Wish in Boston and shows us the hottest dresses that'll take you from spring all the way through summer in "Gretta's Got It."
Gretta Monahan
"To get a head start on the hottest trend this season you'll need to zip up a new dress. I know what you're thinking, dresses are always in season right? Well they are, but this seasons styles are brand new."
Bright colors, floral prints, safari and nautical looks should be on every fashionista's "wish" list.
Stephanie Willson, Wish Boutique
"I wouldn't say that one is better than the other or more trendy than the other."
To be bold and beautiful you gotta start with color.
Stephanie Willson, Wish Boutique
"And bights are huge this season and I love this red."
Gretta Monahan
"I love it too!"
So turn up the heat with something red hot. A great pair of gold heels, a clutch and you are good to go.
Gretta Monahan
"It's got to be neon and bright."
If "color coordinating" your accessories gives you the blues.
Stephanie Willson, Wish Boutique
"Be very simple with your accessories."
Next, go neutral-and head to the jungle.
Gretta Monahan
"And the safari look, is as hot as the dessert and this one is a 'cinch' to make your own."
A classic safari dress gets a "gold stamp" with these great gladiator sandals, also a season must.
Stephanie Willson, Wish Boutique
"So this is where Diane Von Furstenberg has taken her Safari. You can see here she's added the color a lot more feminine a lot more fun a lot more features going on here."
Gretta Monahan
"I love this you guys, because you have the neutral colors of safari, they're always in, every season. What makes it modern, the yellow, the blue and the green."
But the coolest part.
Gretta Monahan
"A sexy wrap that also helps when you have too much dessert."
You don't need a yacht, to go nautical.
Gretta Monahan
"So nautical. I don't want to look like Julie McCoy, I don't want my clients looking like that. What do you think about nautical this season?"
Stephanie Willson, Wish Boutique
"What we're seeing this season is that the lines are a lot cleaner. A lot of the styles you can take from day to evening just by doing a few accessory changes. I really like the way it looks this year, it is not good ship lollipop."
Another trick to getting "decked out"...
Gretta Monahan
"So you can wear just a classic cardigan but if you want to take it from frumpy to fab turn it into a little shrug. All you have to do is button the buttons together and let that hang in the back."
Don't forget to "pick" some flowers. Floral prints are flirty and fun.
Gretta Monahan
"Everyone thinks that when you wear flowers they're not sexy, and this is such a sexy look."
Pull on a pair of heels and a clutch and you are ready to go. And flowers don't have to over power.
Stephanie Willson, Wish Boutique
"There's a tendency to think of floral in very bright, bright colors but here we're showing it in very neutral tones."
Gretta Monahan
"I think the other trick is mixing large flowers and small gives you the illusion of slimming."
Gretta Monahan
"So this season to impress, all you need is a dress. I'm Gretta, for Gretta's Got It."
