7 Healthcast: Allergy-Induced Asthma Drug

A FDA advisory panel is recommending approval for a new asthma drug. Omaliz-umab is for people with allergy induced asthma. Studies show the drug is beneficial for non-smoking patients between the ages of 12 and 65. If approved by the FDA, the drug will be marketed under the much simpler name Zolair.
