7 Healthcast: Study: Sidewalk rage

Posted: 02/17/11

It's called ‘sidewalk rage' and researchers said it is real. Those affected become infuriated by slow walkers who clog up sidewalks, grocery aisles and airport hallways.

Researchers studied people in Manhattan. They said average walking speed is 4.27 feet per second.

Tourists and smokers are the slowest walkers while people listening to headphones walk the fastest.
