UNDATED (WHDH) -- Researchers said a long-term study showed that daily multi-vitamin use may help lower the risk of cancer in men.

The study followed nearly 15-thousand older male doctors for more than a decade.

It found that those who took daily vitamins reduced their chance of cancer by 8-percent.

The study's lead author is a cardiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
