UNDATED (WHDH) -- Research shows preparing for the holidays can literally be a headache.

A study out of Georgetown University showed that adults get more headaches during the holiday season.

Experts said the main reasons are changes in schedule, changes in eating and drinking habits, and an increase in responsibilities.

Doctors recommend getting extra rest as well as taking time to exercise.
