New Hampshire Suffolk Poll

The Hiller Instinct: New Hampshire Suffolk Poll

Posted: 10/30/08

In the Presidential race, Democrat Barack Obama has pulled ahead of Republican John McCain by 13 percent points...

In the U.S. Senate race, Democratic challenger Jean Shaheen is beating incumbent Republican John Sununu by nine points...

And in the Governor's race, Democrat John Lynch is trouncing Republican Joe Kenney by 52 percent.

"We're looking at a Democratic sweep - President, Senate, Governor- mostly due to George Bush. George Bush has an approval rating of only 18 percent versus 72 percent who disapprove of him. That's the overriding issue in this campaign, that's why Democrats will sweep," says Suffolk University Pollster Dr. David Paleologos.

For months, New Hampshire was a Presidential battleground state...too close to call, but not anymore. And if the trends there that broke the race open for Obama are repeated nationwide, count on getting a good night's sleep next Tuesday.

I'm Andy Hiller, and that's my instinct.
