Huddle at Home: Stephen Gostkowski
The 24-year-old has been an athlete his whole life, playing both football and baseball for the University of Memphis.
It's there he met his wife Hallie.
Stephen says, "She didn't even know I played any sports in college, she could have cared less. She liked me for me."
Hallie says, "University of Memphis was great. It wouldn't have been as fun without Stephen."
Hallie loves to watch Stephen play football, but she's had a lot to learn!
Stephen explains, "She didn't know what a first down was when I met her. Now she's a couch coach, she yells at the television like everybody else does."
Kirsten Watson asks, "How does it feel to watch Stephen on the field?"
Hallie says, "I have 100 percent confidence in Stephen's ability. It's a talent that he's blessed with. He's not going to make every kick. I'm a nurse, I have bad days, he has bad days."
Kirsten Watson asks, "Stephen, what's something about you people would be surprised to know?"
He says, "I may come off as quiet. It took me a year and a half to open up to the guys on the team. I was walking around as a nervous guy, scared about losing my job. But i'm sure everyone goes through that. I'm more outgoing and goofy. I think I'm funny."
The couple says they're getting used to the cold New England winters, and have their hands full with two rambunctious dogs, Samson and Sophie.
But they say what is most important in their lives, is each other.
Stephen says, "I'm a lot better person with her than without her, that's when I knew I wanted to marry her."
