Parent to Parent: Male babysitters
"Male care givers are becoming more popular because I think there's more openness to look for different kinds of care."
The "manny" is working out well for Felice and her 11-year-old son Max.
Felice Bochman, mother
"We started looking around for somebody who could help us out and be able to interact with him but not make him feel like he was being trailed by a babysitter."
They found Daniel through Care.Com...and Max couldn't be happier--
Max Bochman, has a male babysitter
"He tends to be more athletic than the other babysitters I've had."
Daniel says he loves his job, and sees the benefits on both ends....
Daniel Hartwig, babysitter
"Help me for the future if I decided to have a child to know how it feels to just be there for him."
So while "mannys" are helping families now they are also getting good training to be fathers in the future.
Maureen O'Brien, parenting coach
"It's a great idea, one is that we complain that we don't bring up nurturing boys, but frankly we don't give them the opportunity to nurture."
