Room For Improvement reports

It's time to clear out a crowded home office and our design team is ready to take on the challenge. 7's Lauren Przybyl has this week's "Room For Improvement."

The Clapp family admits it's pretty hard to get anything done in this office. The reason is it's just too cluttered.

Dan Clapp, homeowner
"It was very unorganized."

Deb Clapp, homeowner
"There'd be stacks of papers everywhere."

They are ready to get this room into shape.

Dan Clapp, homeowner
"Recently started my own business and I need to organize for performing my work. The other part is we don't have a guest room in our house so we need a place that someone can crash."

So Kimberly Cameron of Miller Dyer Spears and Sarah Carlow of Peabody Office Furniture are here to fix up this overcrowded space.

Kimberly Cameron, Miller Dyer Spears
"It was very chaotic, there was a lot going on, things weren't organized, wires were mixed together. It just really needed to be organized and ready for Dan's new company."

The first thing every good office needs is a nice, new desk and a comfy chair.

Sarah Carlow, Peabody Office Furniture
"There's no drawers so there'll be space. And it's a nice good area for him to spread out and have a lot of stuff on it."

Pedestal filing cabinets are great for hiding those messy papers.

Sarah Carlow, Peabody Office Furniture
"The pedestal files are movable so Dan can file and place them anywhere he'd like."

And lots of storage bins help contain everything the family needs.

Sarah Carlow, Peabody Office Furniture
"Everything will be kept a safe place now."

Copelas painting covers the walls with a subtle blue color.

Kimberly Cameron, Miller Dyer Spears
"The color on the walls is pretty calming and soothing."

Then white furniture and accessories give the room a "clean" look.

Kimberly Cameron, Miller Dyer Spears
"White doesn't tend to look as heavy in a small room."

And for guests, a bright red couch is the perfect solution.

Kimberly Cameron, Miller Dyer Spears
"That actually pulls out to a small bed."

This room is ready for family and friends.

Deb Clapp, homeowner
"Oh my gosh!"

Dan Clapp, homeowner
"Wow."

Deb Clapp, homeowner
"Oh, this is so beautiful."

Dan Clapp, homeowner
"This is awesome."

Now this family can sit back, relax and enjoy.

A big thank you goes to Peabody Office Furniture, who generously gave the Clapp Family some beautiful furniture for their home.
