When it comes to back to school shopping, you don't have to break the bank.

"I brought up my kids shopping at discount retail stores and they are really good shoppers now," said mother Amy Chalmers.

Amy says her son learned how to bargain shop and that it paid off for the whole family.

"It takes patience. You need to really look thoroughly and check the racks," said son Colin Power.

All parents can dress their kids in the latest trends without going broke.

Here are some looks of the season, for less.

"Denim is a huge trend right now and then you can just pair it with a cool pair of boots," said personal fashion stylist Sarah McManus.

That versatile dress is about $20.00.

For middle school girls, McManus says it's all about florals and prints this year.

"You can even mix prints and patterns together, then add a bright pop of color which is huge as well," McManus said.

This whole look will cost you about $45.00 and flats are still in for any age.

"This camel color which will be really big for the fall," said McManus.

This pair, just $20 bucks. For girls heading into high school, skinny black pants are the way to go.

"Girls can wear almost every day, just switch up the tops," said McManus.

These skinny pants cost us only about $18.00. For the guys, it's all about the plaid, paired with a dark jean.

"These are all on sale everywhere. Then just add a simple loafer boat shoe and you are good to go," said McManus.

And for younger boys, Sarah prefers a classic sweater because she says it never goes out of style. This thrift shop find cost just $7.00!

You can always have your kids shop their own closets. They may be surprised what they find in there and adding accessories to an old outfit can make it feel brand new!
