Special Report: Bless the children
"When I was four, I had many visions of meeting God". A shocking statement from a 10-year-old girl. But she's one of growing number of kids who some say have an extra special gift.
Izaiha is a precocious 5-year-old who loves crystals, says he can sees spirits, and likes to talk to dead people.
He says, "When it very dark, I can see colors."
His father says, "I know its hard to understand him, he can see the spirits in the dark."
His parents say he is an indigo child -- possessing a blue violet aura, that reflects his supernatural energy.
He'd say mommy the faces, the faces, when he was like three, four. The faces are everywhere. what faces, what are you talk about? And he's like in the bedroom, you can't see them?
Tyler Grenzeback of Winchester, says he learned he was indigo just a few years ago, "I was kinda shocked, thought it was kinda cool that I was an indigo child."
He's also learned to deal with the difficulties.
He says, "I kinda have that channeling ability, that I cant really control, it just happens."
He says when he's in a crowd, he can actually feel someone else's sadness or anxiety.
It's an ability to read energy, it can manifest in different ways, understand the future, see what happens past, heal people, hear voices,"says Susan Gale, who runs A Place of Light in Worcester.
She works with indigos and their families.
She says. "If you have a child who is intuitive, you can hand them an artifact from history, they can tell you what happened, whats gone on with that artifact."
"And the kids that can communicate with plants, how is that plant feeling, what is it telling you, is it thirsty hungry, does it need new soil."
The indigo movement is the topic of a new movie, where young kids talk about their abilities like being able to see the past." They come up and asks something about their life, that you dont know about. and you can tell them what it was, and how it happened and everything like that and then they just look at you and think, you're freaky, or something like that."
Whether you believe or not, those who do say indigo children are here to make a difference.
Izaiha's mom says, "The indigos are preparing us for something greater to come, they are going to prepare the world."
And Tyler says, "I was put on this earth to help people out, change something in some way, don't know how its gonna end up."
