Huddle at Home: Benjamin and Kirsten Watson

Special Report: Huddle at Home: Benjamin and Kirsten Watson

We're starting a new segment that will let you see a more personal side of the Pats and what they do when they're not playing football.

Kirsten Watson, wife of tight end Ben Watson, has more in this weeks “Huddle at Home.”

Kirsten Watson
"I'm Kirsten, and this is Nala. Let me show you around. Now, you might think I'm a crazy Patriots fan. Well, actually I am, but maybe for a different reason than you think."

Benjamin Watson
"I'm Benjamin Watson, tight end for the Patriots. I see you've already met my wife Kirsten. Here's our life away from football."

Ben and I met in college at the University of Georgia. That's when we realized we both love to travel.

Kirsten Watson
"Remember we went to Nevis? This is our honeymoon in the West Indies."

Benjamin Watson
"We love to travel, we love to get out. We have a lot of family in Virginia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Florida. We like to visit all of our family in the off season. Family is very important to us."

Ben and I have been married for two years, and I feel lucky to have a man who actually likes to cook!

Benjamin Watson
"Being from the south, we love to eat shrimp and crabs. We like to fry 'em, boil 'em, sauté 'em, mix 'em with other seafood. You gotta have some shrimp in your life."

When Benjamin isn't playing football, something we like to do is play video games, and the competition doesn't end on the field.

Benjamin Watson
"You're going down bulldog, you're going down."

Well that's it for my house. Now look, the countdown is on and the first game is right around the corner and I will be here all season long to give you a sneak peak into the personal lives of more of your favorite Patriots players.

Next week we'll be off-roading with Patriots offensive tackle Matt Light.
