Special Report: Holiday helping: Jonathan Hall

On the holiday menu in my kitchen gingerbread pancakes.

Jonathan Hall
"Now every pancake recipe has flour and milk in it, but this one’s a little different look what its got, ground ginger, also some cinnamon and molasses too.

Jonathan Hall
"Now I've done a pancake recipe since I was a kid, but this is something new to me so I'm going to bring in my wife Karen who's going to help me because I am no Julia Childs right... Karen: oh no

Now, making these pancakes for the most part is a piece of cake, but I do run into a mixing mess up.

Jonathan Hall:
"We have a major problem (laughing)Karen says I should have used a spoon."

After switching to that handy spoon, we're back on track until we run into a raisin debate.

Jonathan "I have problems with raisins in here its going to ruin it for me. Karen Well let's just try it. Jon what would you like? Karen let's just try it."

We agree to make some with raisins and some without

Jonathan "Here's the moment of truth. I like them."

Karen says: "I like it with the raisins. I think it's great for Christmas morning."

Jon: and I like it without the raisins and Happy Holidays everybody."
