Special Report: Bush Campaign
This is it – the finish line for President George W. Bush. All the polls tell us this will be the closest of elections. But if that’s true, this race will defy history. Incumbent presidents usually win big or lose big. The president said today that he thinks he’ll win.
The president spent Monday night with his family at the western White House in Crawford, Texas. He cast his vote there early this morning... expressing confidence and relief as he left.

"There's just something refreshing about giving it your all and then saying the people will make the right decision, and I believe I'm going to win."
While Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife Lynne went to the polls in Wilson, Wyoming. The President made one final campaign appearance in the crucial state of Ohio. He won this state's 20 electoral votes in 2000, and winning them a second time could mean a second term.

"So this is an exciting time. The polls will be closing in five or six hours, however long it is, and I'm confident. I'm confident we'll carry Ohio and I'm confident we'll carry the nation."
Yesterday, Mr. Bush spent 19 hours on the campaign trail... encouraging his voters to turn out at the polls. Tonight, he'll await word in Washington.
After the official word is in he will make his way to the Ronald Reagan building in Washington. Thousands of supporters will be waiting and they’ll either see him off, or help celebrate another four years in office.
