Alex Meyer started swimming competitively when he was just seven years old. He joined the varsity swim team at Ithaca High School in Ithaca, N.Y. when he was in seventh grade and won back-to-back state championships his junior and senior year. Meyer went on to Harvard University, where he was a two time All Ivy League swimmer majoring in human evolutionary biology. Meyer lives in Boston where he trains full time under Harvard menís swimming head coach Tim Murphy.
