Kani wany'a Ashley - Malden High School
Kani wany'a Ashley from Malden High School
I am nominating my 16-year-old son Kani Ashley, Kani was a child who the doctors diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder. In middle school he was on medication n taking alot of counceling, Kani's grades where barely passing. I have instilled in him, that even though they say you have this problem you keep looking forward and never give up you show them better than you can tell them. In 2010 I took him off of the medication, Kani had been recieveing counseling from South Shore Mental Health. South Shore Mental Health worked miracles with Kani, by the time they where finished he knew cooping skills to deal with his emotions. In 2012 Kani entered Malden High school, WHERE I am proud to say has been on the honorable mentions list for the past three semester's. Kani has also picked up D.j.ing and has been doing very well with that, for the past 3 year's in the summer Kani has also been playing the steel drums with Boston Metro Steel Orchestra. I am very Proud of all his new accomplishments and as his mom I know that this is only the begining of his road to greatness.
