Joey Norton from Furnace Brook Middle School

Joey Norton, a 7th grader at the Furnace Brook Middle School in Marshfield is a remarkable young man who thought about our family in our time of need. In the past two years our family of six children has been through life changing health issues. My husband first had overcome cancer and with the thought of that behind us one year later suffered several strokes. It was then that being a self employed carpenter left our family with great loss of income as well as a long road for his recovery. With the help of family, friends, our family of Boy Scouts and a young man named Joey Norton we were able to survive financially and emotionally. Joey Norton was to have his birthday party. Instead of his friends and family bringing gifts to celebrate him, he wanted to do something for our family. Each of his guests that attended his birthday that day all brought a donation for our family instead of gifts for him. It amazes me that at such a young age this young man put the well being of
others before himself. What he did not only was such a great help to our family but most of all gave my husband hope that everything was going to o.k. Saying thank you just doesn't seem to be enough. We are nominating him as a CLASS ACT because he has touched our hearts in such a special way. His thoughtfulness and kindness will forever be remembered. JOEY NORTON YOUR ARE AMAZING.
