Drishti Chawla -- Prospect Hill Academy Charter School
High School Valedictorian. She will graduate from High School at age 16.
Worked hard thoughout her school years maintained her high 4.0 GPA. Played three sports, with four AP-level subjects.
She is member of Young Statesmen of America and has participated in those events travelling to Washington, DC and Connecticut.
Seems like just yesterday when she was born at Cambridge hospital she was having trouble breathing and a specialist was called from MGH who spent hours with her to make sure she is breathing well and is able to survive – She has always been a fighter. She and her mom got relieved from hospital after few extra days. On and off she keeps having episodes where we had to stay up all night with her and she had to skip school, even exams. At times we had to call 911 and take her to hospital in an Ambulance. She always comes out winner and would tell us not to worry. But as parents we know those steroids she has to take for her Asthma prevention are not good for her health. We have always hoped she grows out to Asthma and become strong. But she is a very strong and determinant young lady.
Now that she is off to join Johns Hopkins University in this fall – she will be away from home, her parents, and two strong older and younger brothers but very close to our hearts.
She wants to be a doctor some day and work to help humanity!
