Max Blake and SCOR students -- Arlington School
Max Blake and SCOR students
The Arlington School in Belmont has a group called SCOR, student community outreach. A group of students apply to participate in a monthly service project. The staff selects the students based on their academic efforts and social and emotional growth. In September, the students sorted over 8000 pounds of food for the Greater Boston Food Bank. The Arlington School is a high school for children with academic, social and emotional challenges. SCOR is already planning their next philanthropic project. Many of the students have struggled with a myriad of issues. This program allows them to be successful while teaching them the benefits of paying it forward! They are true Class Acts!
