Sports stars and celebs meet with Boston victims
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Some star power is hoping to lift spirits to some of the victims injured in the marathon bombings.
Actor Bradley Cooper has been in Boston filming a movie.
He went to Boston Medical Center on Monday to meet with survivors Jeff Bauman and Celeste Corcoran.
Both Bauman and Corcoran lost their legs as a result of the explosions.
Patriots players Rob Gronkowski and Stevan Ridley also took time to meet with several victims.
Ridley posted pictures on Twitter with the words, "Boston's Strongest!! Y'all keep fighting and we'll keep praying!!"
Also offering his thoughts was Jay Leno, “I want to say how proud I am of my hometown of Boston. The first responders, the FBI, the police, all of the people of Boston worked together, all of those people with those cell phone cameras to help identify and capture the brothers responsible for this horrific act.”
Leno started off last night's episode of the tonight show by thanking everyone who helped in the days following the explosions.
He ended his statement by saying, “Do not mess with the people of Boston.”
