Ex-girlfriend's memoir recounts relationship with JFK Jr.

Nearly 12 years after John F. Kennedy Jr.’s tragic death off the coast of Martha ’s Vineyard, his former girlfriend of five years is out with a new memoir about their relationship.
It’s about two young people in love - a side of him that few people knew.
John F. Kennedy Junior, America's prince as he was fondly known, and for five years, he was prince charming for a young New York girl named Christina Haag.
"Many women have a love that is a young love that may not work out, but you still carry a piece of them in your heart," said Haag.
Haag writes about that love in her new book "Come to the Edge." Haag met John while attending high school. The two later became close friends while attending Brown University. It was in their 20s when they reconnected in an off-Broadway play.
"It’s about two teenagers who fall in love and there was a kiss in the play and then one night he said to me, ‘I’d like to kiss you for real this time.’" said Haag.
She kept diaries during their relationship and described the young Kennedy as romantic and adventurous.
"He didn't like ringing the doorbell to my brownstone. It was just one flight up and he would climb up on the planter and then onto the balcony, and I sort of liked that entrance as well," said Haag.
The relationship ended in 1990 when they were 30-years-old, but Haag says looking back the one thing she remembers is what a wonderful man John F. Kennedy Jr. was in her eyes.
Haag says after John died the memories kept flooding back and she found it very healing to write this book.
