Claire Danes wins Harvard's Hasty Pudding Award

BOSTON -- Claire Danes was awarded Harvard’s Hasty Pudding award for Theatrical’s Woman of the Year on Thursday.

Danes joined Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Club on Thursday after being paraded around Harvard Square, and thoroughly roasted.

As a Yale-y and a New Yorker, Danes was in enemy territory.

“I know! I keep being an enemy here,” Danes said.

When 7News asked what her thoughts were about the Super Bowl, Danes replied, “I think I’m actually going to go to the Super Bowl, I think. It’s kind of wasted on me - that ticket, because I’m there for the nachos and the alcohol.”

Danes has made a name for herself as a serious actress, but Thursday’s festivities were anything but serious.

The Hasty Pudding’s Man of the Year is Jason Segel. He will be roasted on Feb. 3.
