UNDATED (WHDH) -- Two more singers were sent packing on Tuesday night's episode of ‘The Voice,’ leaving just eight contestants fighting for the title and the recording contract that comes with it.

Last night's elimination episode took a toll on the judges. Coach Adam Levine had a hard team deciding when it came down to Mathai and Katrina Parker.

But Mathai said, once it came down to the final two, she knew she was going home.

“Right after I finished my second chance song, I started tearing up off stage because I realized that this was Katrina’s turn,” she said. “This was her time to shine.”

As for coach Cee-Lo Green, Jamar Rogers was saved, leaving him to pick between Chessa and Juliet Simms.

Chessa said she had doubts going into the elimination.

“I didn’t want to expect anything but I had a feeling because I wasn’t always the fan favorite on my team,” she said.

Mathai and Chessa now join Wakefield’s James Massone, who was sent home Monday night. Massone appeared on the Today Show Wednesday morning.

"I don't want to go right back to the body shop so I'm going to try to push my career and do something -- just stay in music. I'll be pushing it as much as I can," Massone said on the Today Show.

The contestants are now down to the semifinals, with only a few rounds to go.

The final episode of this season is set to air on May 8.
