MARBLEHEAD, Mass. (WHDH) -- Hollywood producers are calling for "take two" on a deal with the town of Marblehead.
Town leaders are working with Adam Sandler’s production company to become the backdrop for part of the movie ‘Grown-ups 2.’
There was a plan to build a major set on a football field there but following an outcry from the town, Columbia pictures withdrew its request.
Sandler filmed part of the first ‘Grown-ups’ movie in Marblehead in 2009. The filmmakers say they still want to film there and they want to work things out with the town.
Even without using the football field for a set, parts of the movie will still film in other areas of Marblehead this summer.
The bay state is no stranger to Adam Sandler movies; his upcoming film ‘That's My Boy’ was partially shot here last year.
