Actor Matt Damon weighs in on Brady's acting ability
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Actor Matt Damon weighed in on Tom Brady’s acting skills.
The ad was for Under Armour went viral almost immediately after its release. Matt Damon gave his take on the quarterback's acting chops Thursday night.
Patriots quarterback and California native Tom Brady, in the spoof, professes that he's not from Boston. But one person not shy about being a Bostonian Oscar-winning actor: Matt Damon.
“I’m very proud to be known as somebody from this city,” Damon said.
Damon was in town emceeing an event for mass general hospital with his parents and said he thought Brady was hilarious in the video.
“I thought whole premise was really funny. Every time he'd say something the guy would go, ‘Yeah, you're unmistakably from Boston,’” Damon said.
The 41-year-old actor who lives in New York still remains the poster boy for Boston.
As for Damon’s Boston accent, he says it's still around.
“I can put it on if I have to or if I have too many Sam Adams,” said Damon.
