Michelle Obama’s healthy diet goes to the dog

NEW YORK (NBC) -- The secret is out - the first family's dog, "Bo" is on a diet.
Bo, a Portuguese water dog, apparently likes to eat and has put on a few pounds in recent months.
So, it comes as no surprise that the first family thinks he needs a little help watching his weight.
After all, Michelle Obama has championed a national effort to fight childhood obesity through exercise and healthy eating.
Word of Bo’s diet came straight from the president who leaked the news during a surprise appearance at the "kids state dinner" last night.
He asked the kids not to drop scraps on the floor because Bo eats anything he sees.
Now it's Bo's turn to drop some pounds and shape up. We'll look forward to seeing a leaner version of Bo in the near future.
