Kathie Lee Giffords: Swift was asked to leave, twice

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Kathie Lee Gifford talked about Taylor Swift's appearance at a Kennedy-family wedding in Boston last weekend.

The singer is dating Connor Kennedy and the Herald reported that the young couple crashed the wedding and didn't leave when the mother of the bride asked them to.

Apparently Kathie Lee was also at the wedding - she confirmed the reports.

"They asked her to leave," said Hoda. 

"Twice, they asked her to leave twice," said Giffords.

"I can sort of see. When Taylor Swift walks into your wedding, she gets all the attention and you're chopped liver!" said Hoda.

"It’s the bride’s day, and that was Vicki's other concern. This is my daughter’s day and I’d appreciate it if you not come," said Giffords.

Giffords said she's not sure if Swift knew she wasn't invited.

Swift’s rep insists that she was invited to the wedding. She went with Connor Kennedy and the bride even thanked her for coming.
