But the couple did reunite just in time for the release of "Breaking Dawn Part 2", the final installment of the Twilight Saga, which hit theaters in November.

John Travolta at the center of a sex scandal.

Two male massage therapists and a cruise ship worker filed lawsuits claiming the actor sexually assaulted them.

Two of the suits have been dropped and Travolta is fighting the third lawsuit, denying the allegations.

Lindsay Lohan faced more legal problems when she was accused of nightclub brawls and several car accidents.

The star is currently facing misdemeanor charges stemming from a June crash, which could send her back behind bars.

And Justin Bieber faced off against the paparazzi. A photographer claimed the teen singer attacked him outside a California mall, but no charges were filed against the pop star.

Blockbusters hit the big screen.

Katniss Everdeen became a household name with the release of "The Hunger Games" the first movie based on the best-selling book trilogy. The movie has grossed more than 672 million dollars worldwide.

Gandolf and Frodo reunite in "The Hobbit,” the much anticipated prequel to the "Lord of the Rings Trilogy."

The film set a record for the best December debut.

Several Hollywood stars got hitched. Longtime couples Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman, as well as Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel tied the knot.

There was a secret ceremony for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, who were only dating for about a year.

But it was the end of “Tom Kat.” Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise divorced after five years of marriage. The couple is sharing custody of their 6-year-old daughter Suri.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, Beyonce & Jay-Z, Jessica Simpson and Kourtney Kardashian all welcomed daughters this year.

And the royal family learned it will be gaining a new heir. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced they're expecting their first child in 2013.
