UNDATED (WHDH) -- Carrie Bradshaw is back on the small screen in “The Carrie Diaries.”
The much-anticipated prequel to "Sex and the City" series returns Monday night on The CW -- taking us to 1984, when Carrie is falling in love with the most important man in her life: Manhattan.
Fans follow the 16-year-old as she copes with her mother's death, navigates through high school in Connecticut, and the big city.
Anna-Sophia Robb plays Carrie.
“She’s very vivacious and friendly. She’s a little bit tormented, because her mother just passed away,” Robb said.
And instead of Mr. Big, there's Sebastian Kid.
Now fans will have to stay tuned to watch as Carrie's future -- and fashion - evolve.
“It’s Carrie before she was ‘Carrie Bradshaw the writer.’ We watch her develop and how she makes decisions. And how she eventually becomes the ‘Sex and the City,’” Robb said.
"The Carrie Diaries" start at 8 followed by "90210" at 9 Monday nights.
