Amy Adams, Christian Bale spotted in Natick

NATICK, Mass. (WHDH) -- There were more star sightings in Natick Thursday, including Amy Adams and Christian Bale. The two celebrities are part of a star-studded movie and it’s making the hub feel a lot like Hollywood.

“Christian Bale looked over for a little bit, but they were in makeup so they had the beard and the 70's clothing on. You know, to stand out here for three hours, you get that 30 seconds you've been waiting for,” said a fan.

The movie was filming scenes at a dry cleaner. The owner was playing coy about what was about to happen in his store.

“It came up in conversation when he dropped some dry cleaning off two days ago and he was putting up a sign saying the store was going to be closed for a day and he was being really secretive. He wouldn’t say what, just that someone was going to be filming something there,” said Steven Greenleaf.

The movie is about a FBI sting operation in the 1970's that leads to the conviction of a congressman. It stars not only Adams and Bale, who were in The Fighter, but also Bradley Cooper and his Silver Linings Playbook star, Jennifer Lawrence.

Everyone remembers Jeremy Renner from The Town is also in the flick. 7News caught him last week filming in Southie.

“This is really exciting. I mean, it’s not often a movie is made in your back yard and I think it’s wonderful for Natick and it’s wonderful for Massachusetts,” said another fan.

Some neighbors in Natick are cashing in on the movie shoot.

“The production company paid a few us on our street to block our driveways with their trailer trucks…$200 bucks,” one woman said.

The crew filmed until about 8 p.m. The stars will be filming in the area for the next few weeks.
