Justin Bieber faces possible battery charge
UNDATED (WHDH) -- It’s getting harder for Justin Bieber to hold onto his squeaky clean image.
The pop sensation is facing possible battery charges after a confrontation with his neighbor.
According to TMZ, that neighbor claims the Biebs assaulted and threatened him after he complained about his Ferrari tearing down the streets.
Bieber’s camp denies he ever laid a hand on him.
According to the sheriff's department, Justin Bieber's neighbor said the singer made physical contact and threatened him during an altercation Tuesday morning.
"Battery means unwanted touching…it could mean patting on the back, it could be throwing water, spitting, we don’t know,” said Steve Whitmore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office.
So far there are no arrests, no charges, and officials say no injuries. But the accusation is just the latest in a string of bad days for bieber.
Earlier this month, the singer struggled with his breathing, and collapsed backstage during a concert in London. He was taken to the hospital and then accused of clashing with the paparazzi.
Days earlier, he was booed when he showed up late to a show.
He apologized to fans.
In February, pictures of Bieber appearing to smoke pot surfaced online. The singer poked fun at the incident on Saturday Night Live.
"I also heard he got busted for smoking weed, and he's really sorry about it. And that people make mistakes, and he's never going to do it again,” his character said.
Then this week, the singer unexpectedly canceled a concert Tuesday night in Germany to return to Los Angeles.
However, this wasn’t before pictures were snapped of him leaving Poland in freezing temperatures -- shirtless. This has left many Hollywood insiders to wonder if Bieber's behavior is a classic Hollywood meltdown or simply growing pains for a teenage boy.
"It's a very difficult thing for anyone to be in the public eye like he is. But to be as young as he is, and to have been going through it so intensely as he's been the last few years...you’d almost expect him to have some episodes where he cracks a little bit,” said Ken Baker, E! News Chief Correspondent.
Justin Bieber’s security guards reported that the neighbor was on his property and there was no physical altercation.
