One Direction pop-up shop to open in Faneuil Hall
BOSTON (WHDH) -- One Direction, a boy band from the United Kingdom, has taken the world by storm. Fans, known as directioners, will have a chance to visit a One Direction pop-up store in Boston.
“This is our fourth store here in the United States,” said William Stone, the store’s manager, “There is a lot of excitement. Kids come in screaming, crying.”
Inside the glass house in Faneuil Hall are rooms dedicated solely to One Direction, complete with t-shirts, posters, even a photo booth to take pictures with an image of your favorite member.
“Everyone needs more One Direction stuff, you know?” said one fan.
The project’s organizer is expecting 2,000 to 2,500 people on Saturday April 13, the day the store opens, with 1,000 people expected to arrive even before the doors open at 9 a.m.
How do they compare to Justin Bieber? Some fans said, “Well, there’s more of them!”
“They’re new. They’re something new. Like I remember there was that whole fanatic about the Jonas Brothers, but I think their type of music is different. It’s more now,” said Jennifer Levesque, a One Direction fan.
The band itself will not be in Boston, but they will be coming at the end of June to perform at the Comcast Center. The pop-up shop will be open until the beginning of May.
