Raisman sees intimate show with an ‘American Idol’

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Olympic gold medalist - and Needham native - Aly Raisman was in Boston today sitting in on an intimate performance from American Idol-winner Phillip Phillips.

Raisman is apparently a huge fan of Phillips, whose song, "Home" was used during the gymnastics coverage at the Olympics.

After the show, Raisman and Phillips talked and took some pictures.

Later on, Phillips tweeted out, "Met Aly Raisman this morning, and she's a lovely person. Very sweet. Great to meet her and her friends."

Last week, Raisman returned home from the London Olympics, where she was captain of the u-s gymnastics team.

She won two gold medals and a bronze, becoming the most decorated US Olympic gymnast at the games.
