Chamuel wows the crowd on 'The Voice' finale
LOS ANGELES (WHDH) -- With night one of the two-night ‘The Voice’ finale underway, local contestant Michelle Chamuel wowed everyone.
Monday night Chamuel debuted her new song “Why” by Annie Lennox. She sang while looking at herself in the mirror but shocked everyone when it turned out that it wasn’t her reflection at all.
“He taped it for me so I was like studying it the night before, being like what did I do here? Oh I raised, you know, I was really trying so hard to get it right,” said Chamuel.
Chamuel also sang a duet with her coach Usher who she has grown quite close with throughout the season. Chamuel’s mother said she is so proud of her daughter.
“What’s really wonderful is that she’s doing what she loves and she’s being true to herself and her biggest competitor is herself and it’s just nice to see that,” said her mother, Jolie Davie.
The finale of ‘The Voice’ is Tuesday night. A winner will be chosen between Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery and the Swon brothers. Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Florida Georgia Line and Cher will be among the performers. Cher has not performed live in more than a decade.
