Duchess Kate celebrates 31st birthday

LONDON (WHDH) -- Prince William's wife the Duchess of Cambridge celebrates her 31st birthday on Wednesday.

The mother-to-be will reportedly mark the occasion in private.

She’s believed to be with her husband at their home in north wales.

It’s been a busy year for the duchess.

She and Prince William have toured the world and dealt with a scandal involving topless pictures.

The duchess also spent a number of days in the hospital last month with severe morning sickness and has been limiting her public engagements while she recovers.
