Whitney returns for Season 2 with new possibilties
NEW YORK (NBC) -- Instead of tying the knot, Whitney and Alex settled for tattooing it at the end of season one.
"Marriage is kind of off the table. Last year, every episode was like, how much closer
is Whitney to marriage? Now, it's like, we did it and now what?" said Whitney Cummings.
Now that the couple's bonded by ink and spirit....if not law....the new season opens up story possibilities.
"We get to move on and tell relatable stories about what it's like to be in a relationship
without the marriage thing always creeping up in the third act,” said Cummings.
The cast can also slip back in to roles they've gotten to know.
"Our actors are so exciting, going to the table read, it's like you write a script, and you can't wait to see them do it. We can't wait to see what they do with the material,” said Cummings.
It makes for an energy on the "Whitney" set, they hope comes across for viewers.
"We try to keep a loose, fun vibe,” said Cummings.
