7News sits down with 'The Voice's' Nicholas David

UNDATED (WHDH) -- Team CeeLo's Nicholas David sang a soulful rendition of "You Are So Beautiful" on Monday’s episode of "The Voice".

Nicholas made it to the final four and quickly became one of the shows breakout stars. He’s a soulful singer with a memorable look.

Blake Shelton said Nicholas looks like a religious figure.

“You look like Jesus and people like that,” said Shelton.

Adam Levine told him he sings ‘baby-making music.’

“And that’s the test. If I feel like making a baby after listening to Barry White, you did a great job, so congratulations,” said Levine.

“I was told that I look like a 1970’s Donald Sutherland. Like pretty funny stuff, stuff that makes me laugh,” said Nicholas.

Pointing to his bracelets, Nicholas said,” these are from my shaman friend. They’re charged. He makes them over sacred geometry.”

Don’t let the alternative lifestyle fool you though. Turns out this singer has a soft spot for the Muppets and Disney.

“I have every Disney movie ever made and I would love to be a Disney cartoon character,” said Nicholas.

When asked if he would be the good guy or the villain, Nicholas said, “I’ll take either.”

Nicholas said he has had a lot of luck in his life by singing for a living, and he will see if that luck continues on Tuesday when America’s votes are tallied.

How does Nicholas feel about possibly winning The Voice?

“It shakes my spirit a little bit, but at the same time it feels like this is where I’m supposed to be. I keep having these moments of déjà vu where I’ll be walking in between this or that and I’ll be like ‘oh my gosh, I’ve been here before,’” said Nicholas.

He calls the experience an ongoing ‘wow.’

“It keeps unfolding and unfolding, things I would never expect. But I try to greet every turn with an open mind and an open heart,” said Nicholas.
