Meredith Vieira lets a bad word slip on the Today Show

NEW YORK (WHDH) -- Sometimes - and it's happened to all of us - not so nice words slip out. But not everyone does so - on national television!

That's what happened to Meredith Vieira on the today show yesterday - oops!

Meredith Vieira was filling in for Kathie Lee on the fourth hour of Today.

She was caught a bit off guard - when the show came back from a commercial break!
