Jessica Simpson and NBC team up for comedy sitcom

UNDATED (WHDH) -- NBC is developing a comedy starring Jessica Simpson.

The project, will be based on Simpson’s life similar to HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm

Simpson appeared on Jay Leno Tuesday night. She is pregnant with her second child with fiancé Eric Johnson and said she was surprised by her pregnancy.

The star tweeted a photo of herself at the Leno show, saying, "Always fun to sit and chat with Jay Leno."

Simpson told Leno the show is untitled, but that they are in the process of casting for the pilot. Actors will play fiancé Eric Johnson and Simpson's father, Joe.
