Wellesley native prepares for The Voice finale
WELLESLEY, Mass. (WHDH)-- After months of anticipation, finally the end. Only three final finalists are left on “The Voice” including Wellesley native, Michelle Chamuel.
The indie rocker said she is try trying to block her nerves ahead Monday’s performance. Her last before the winner is crowned.
“It’s me stepping outside of my comfort zone a little bit and really following a vision that Usher has for what I could grow into, in this particular song,” said Michelle Chamuel, “Team Usher.”
Michelled credits her coach Usher for a lot of her growth and dedicatd a song to him during the last show .
“He is like the dude you see is who I see and he’s awesome. I just found out yesterday he does not like papayas,” said Chamuel.
Despite the stiff competition Michelle said she gets along with fellow contestants. Even minutes before they go toe-to-toe or voice-to-voice.
“Before the show a lot of us a lot of times will pray and Colton will lead us in prayer,” Chamuel said.
Michelle is a favorite of both the judges and fans and says no matter what the outcome is on Tuesday, she is lacking forward to coming back to Amherst.
“Oddly enough I used to go on really long walks there when I was there and I haven't gone on one in a long time,” the singer said.
When asked if she would do anything over again Michelle said she had no regrets.
