“Almond Joy” (or “AJ” as he’s known to staff) is a sweet 1 year old cat who has been living at the MSPCA-Nevins Farm for too long and deserves a loving forever home of his own.
AJ is a very special kitty in that he has feline leukemia (FeLV), which is tough to battle and may shorten his life. But AJ lives in the moment and, at the moment, he is perfectly healthy and loving life.
He’s incredibly playful and LOVES head scratches. In fact, he will even jump up on his hind legs when prompted, just to get a much-sought-after scratch. AJ gets along swimmingly with cats and dogs and would even enjoy snuggling with them if they let him. The MSPCA-Nevins Farm team is hoping to find an understanding adopter with knowledge of FeLV, or someone willing to accept AJ’s illness. FeLV cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs—but it can be transferred to other cats. So AJ would need to go to a home with either no cats or another kitty with FeLV.
AJ is neutered and up to date on his shots. For more information about him you can email the MSPCA-Nevins Farm team directly at methuen@mspca.org. To learn more about them and the other animals available for adoption at the MSPCA-Nevins Farm -- click here.
