WELLESLEY, Mass. (WHDH) -- A suspected drunk driver may have struck a police cruiser in Wellesley Wednesday evening.
According to Wellesley Police, a cruiser was rear-ended by another driver. The officer was working a construction detail at the time.
Both the officer and the other driver were transported to the hospital to be checked out.
Wellesley Police say charged the driver who hit the cruiser with driving under the influence.
The incident occurred on Route 9 Eastbound near Route 128. Travel was down to one lane on Route 9 as police continued to investigate.
